Small Group Ministry Program - Creating Connections in Small Groups

In groups of 5 to 10 we explore the questions of our lives. If-self discovery through conversation appeals to you, or if questions like "where in the world am I" resonate, you should consider joining a small group. Together we explore subjects ranging from our Unitarian Universalist faith, to human nature, and from sin to forgiveness. There will be time to share your life story and to meet others at a deeper level.

We begin our fourth year of SGM in mid-February 2010 and conclude in mid-November. Newcomers, friends, and members are all welcome to join.

Meetings begin with a reading and a Chalice lighting, followed by personal check-in time and then a discussion of the topic. Topics and readings are selected by the SGM group leaders. Groups meet in members' homes twice a month at a regular time.

Groups meet on Sunday and Monday evenings. The Monday evening group offers babysitting. Groups are open and new people can join at any time. When a group grows too large (more than 8 or 9), we form a new group. You can sign up for a group by contacting Doug Rodgers (douglas.rodgers at sbcglobal.net) or by speaking directly to any SGM group leader.
