Equality Achieved

Published 21 May, 2008 in The Argus, Fremont, CA

Dear Editor,

I rejoiced May 15 in the ruling from the California Supreme Court to legalize marriage for same-sex couples.

This is a landmark victory for fairness and justice and upholding the religious principle of the inherent worth and dignity for every human being.

For the first time in the history of our state, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Californians are truly equal.

Hallelujah!
