Bipolar Disorder is characterized by both very high moods, called mania, and very low depressions. There are two shows which focus on this disorder and what it means in people's lives.

In the first show, two people are interviewed.
One is a woman who has been living with bipolar disorder for many years, the second is her husband.
They talk about how she has adapted to living with the illness, and how her husband is supportive in her recovery. Taped December 19, 2007

In the second show, a psychiatrist from the Stanford
Bipolar Clinic is a guest on this show and explains what Bipolar disorder is, and its various types: Bipolar I, Bipolar II, and
Bipolar Not Otherwise Specified (NOS). Another guest is living with Bipolar I, and talks about what it has been like for him.
Host Rev. Barbara Meyers reveals that she has Bipolar NOS.
