Sally Ahnger, Directory of Religious Education

I imagine you enjoyed the Christmas pageant as much as I did. The youth and children of MPUUC did a great job.

If you found yourself wondering how you could be involved with these great kids on a regular basis, I have the perfect opportunity for you. The Spring Term of Children's Religious Education starts in February and runs through May. You don't need any experience with teaching to be an RE teacher. We will pair you up with an experienced teacher to get you started. Teaching in RE can be a very rewarding way to get to know the children of the congregation.

Teachers volunteer to teach in pairs, on 5 or 6 Sundays during the term, taking turns preparing the lessons. Detailed curricula are provided which makes preparation minimal. Teachers may choose the K-2, Grades 3-5 or Grades 6-8 class. We are learning about Unitarian Universalist Principles this year.

If you are interested, please let me know. I'll be happy to answer all your questions.

Happy New Year,

Sally
